craniofascial therapy

Craniofascial therapy is a treatment concept that deals in particular with complaints and disorders in the head, face and jaw area.

Based on a diagnosis, disorders (so-called dysfunctions) are searched for.

First, functional examinations of the temporomandibular joint, the skull and the nervous system are carried out.

Later, other regions such as the shoulder girdle, spine and hips are also considered.

What does a treatment look like?

The treatment consists on the one hand of manual therapeutic treatment techniques and
on the other hand from an individual home program or advice on changing certain behaviors that trigger complaints.

Craniofascial therapy is recommended for the following symptoms:

  • mouth and face pain

  • jaw problems

  • teeth grinding

  • occlusion disorders

  • Cervicogenic headache

  • migraine

  • head trauma

  • tinnitus

  • facial asymmetry

  • ear and facial pain

  • whiplash

  • migraine

  • facial pain
